About MANU

WHO IS MANU?
Manu is a Puerto Rican designer, educator, and multidisciplinary creative. She grew up between Aguadilla and Rincón, where her grandmother, Milagros, taught her how to sew at a young age. From that moment on, creating became her way of expressing and connecting with the world.

In 2020, during a time of stillness, she returned to that practice. Days spent by the ocean with handmade pieces, a yoga mat, and simple rituals became the beginning of what is now MANU VILLANU.

STYLE
MANU VILLANU is designed for movement. Each piece is lightweight, versatile, and thoughtfully made for everyday use, travel, and outdoor living. Collections are created in small batches, exploring textures, reversible forms, and functional design that adapts to different moments and styles.

VISION
At the core of MANU VILLANU is a belief in slow creation, making with intention and without rush. It values craftsmanship, thoughtful design, and pieces that feel personal, lived-in, and meaningful.

MISSION
Each piece is handmade in Puerto Rico. Through small scale production, the brand focuses on creating objects that are both functional and expressive, while maintaining a conscious and intentional approach to design and making.
